Howdy Folks, we’re on agenda with Telluride Town Council to discuss postponing festival to weekend before Labor Day. It appears most artists can participate.

It’s been difficult to discuss things as a team while we’re all cleaning our houses; but, it seems more and more likely large events at Solstice won’t happen.

With Telluride going through such a thorough “screening”, it’s hard as planeteers to be planning for the next big social event in town to be the biggest of the year.

This seemed like a reasonable “Plan B” a couple days ago when we genuinely considered it, now it seems like Plan A; and, there’s a good chance even that won’t happen.

The “notice” is coming out in tomorrow’s Telluride “paper” so wanted to let you guys know now.

We’re hoping to take a two month “furlough” then get back together with spotless homes and get down to some serious ass kicking.

Thanks for the update Ferg.
Any thoughts yet on events at the ranch? At this point July seems so close but also so far away.

Stay safe,

Postponement beats cancellation!

Glad to hear we'll only have a 2 month delay, instead of a 12 month delay.

Plus, I wasn't looking forward to un-winidng all of those Town Park ticket transactions.

See all of you in August!

Camp Run-A-Muck can definitely do August if that's what it takes to make this happen!

If postponement is what it takes, then count me in. I hope for the best. Thank you Ferg for everything! We appreciate it more than you could ever know!

Probably means we can't do all the full pre-fest days, if that will even exist in August. And for sure the kid can't come as thats two or three weeks into school starting here, even to just do friday saturday he'd miss 3-4 days of school, and we can't do that. For those who can't do a reschedule what might be an option, would our tickets be good for next year??? Scheduling work and school is tough, we start setting that up last year. Hoping for the best. If anything myself or Monica might could swing just the 4 days if we flew and brought nothing but backpacking camp gear.

Folks, we can make this happen. Some of us are sick, some may get sick in the near future, and I hope and pray everyone recovers. If it takes a two month postponement, that really is a small problem compared to what others are going through. Plus, Telluride may be very nice in late summer. Not worried about Town Park, I am sure if they let us have a festival, they will let us use it for a week.
Hoping all my brothers and sisters are safe. Love you all.

Would the weekend before Labor Day mean the weekend leading into Labor Day, or the last weekend of August? Maybe a silly question but wanted to clarify. Thanks!!

Telluride Film Festival is Labor Day Weekend.  Much smaller crowd - haven't heard anything about postponement on that one.  I usually attend but Bluegrass is just a happier place :)

I hope that can work out. The Town will be looking for sales taxes when this subsides and everyone will want to blow off some steam.

The science of large gatherings and infectious disease will end up deciding in addition to or instead of the Town.

Had a gut feeling for a while now that June wasn't going to work. Hope to god that August does! Seems like that would be a great middle ground. Stay healthy and safe everyone!

Wave June 19th -21st we'll be hosting a gathering at our land in Northeast Oklahoma, if TBF is cancelled or postponed. We don't have any Tigers, but maybe we could have the guy down the road bring his Kangaroo. We'll have a flatbed stage with some area bands. Camping, limited power for hook-ups, there's a small town with basic needs 5 miles away. If you have a kayak or canoe bring it, Oklahoma's only designated scenic river is 10 miles away, outfitters are available for those without boats.

This is serious. If you'r ready to be getting semi social come june come see what it's like along the Oklahoma Arkansas border. I'll post details in the General Category, and on Facebook.  Cheers

We're doing what we can to make it to Telluride if dates change to August, but theres no way we can do landrush and pre-fest, and no way the child can make that. Solstice is Monica's birthday, so we'll be having a celebration TBF or not. Flower

Thanks for the update. I'll have to tune into the council meeting afternoon to see how it goes down. Hoping for the best this Summer.
