Just curious, and for the fun of it. What are y'alls choices?

For the artists announced for the 2020 TBF who are:

1. The artist/group you are most looking forward seeing that you've never seen live?

2. The artist/group that is your personal favorite in the lineup?

3. The artist/group which you've never heard of before that you're most interested in checking out?

Thanks for playing. Cheers Here's my answers

1. Hawktail
2. Billy Strings
3. Le Vent Du Nord

1. I'm fortunate enough that I've already seen most of the lineup except for the "unknowns".  I'm most looking forward to the Billy Strings sit-ins and I think he will have a lot of those throughout the week.

2. Billy

3. Hawktail?  Lot of talent in that group.

1. Hawktail
2. Greensky.  But if allowed to pick >1, add Billy, ISD, and the house band.  Live from Here could get in this list, depending on the guests.
3. I like to call this the "pick to click" category.  It'll probably be one of the "to be announced" acts, but Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Che Apalache, and Le Vent Du Nord could all fit that category.  I still need to do some pre-fest exploration/listening.

Love the game.  It's interesting how few acts fit questions 1 and 3 so far.

1. I've seen most of the bands on this list, but Che Appalachia is one that I haven't that I'm really excited about.

2. Leftover Salmon definitely. That being said, my 3 favorite bands (LoS, Billy Strings, ISD) are all going to be there, so I'm a lucky girl.

3. Probably Le Vent du Nord. I haven't listened to them, but they have a freaking hurdy gurdy, can't beat that!

Quebecois music will rock your Monde!  Since De Temps Antan played several years back, the only QC heavy weight yet to be booked at TBF is Genticorum

I'm intrigued by the Bela/Edmar Castaneda pairing.  The harp is whole different thing in the hands of a Colombian or Venezuelan.

Since everyone's psyched about Hawktail, might as well blab that they got tapped for Newport Folk on August first.  Big gig.

Trivia question answer you'll never need:  Brittany's mom used to babysit infant Molly Tuttle.  Molly's dad Jack was Brittany's early fiddle teacher.  #TrueDat

2. The artist/group that is your personal favorite in the lineup?

Of course the Stringdusters but also Alison Krauss.

Some guy by the name of Robert Plant turned me on to her.
We caught Plant/Krauss twice a few years ago. Once at New
Orleans Jazz Festival and again at Austin City Limits Festival.
We saw her back in Nov. in Lake Charles LA and in 2018 in
Sugarland, Texas. Her 2018 show was the best show of the
year for myself. Looking forward to seeing Alison, Stringdusters
and the rest of the lineup at 2020 TBF.

Thanks for playing along! Thumbs Up

It's fun to see everyones answers. Of course we're not ranking bands, or even comparing them. Just a little fun to see peoples interests and favorites.

Obviously my answers, and everyones might change once the rest of the line-up is announced so I'll add a 4th question.

4. What single artist/group that is not yet announced are you most excited to see this summer. LOL

Mine has to be The Bad Livers, can't wait to see them!

Now Playing icon Listening to: Trio-Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt

1. Mandolin Orange
2. Greensky Bluegrass
3. Che Apalache is new to me; they won't be by festival time, but I'm excited to know more about them.
4. I have hopes for Molly Tuttle or the Highwomen to be on the final lineup
