Wave Unlike most years, the off-road trails and passes around Telluride are OPEN during Bluegrass!! So, I am panning to take advantage on Wednesday.

The plan is to take Imogene Pass from Telluride to Ouray, then down to Ophir Pass back up and around. If anybody else has HIGH CLEARANCE 4X4 vehicles, we can put together a convoy and do the run together. This will likely be an all-day trip as the trails take about 3 and 2 hours respectively, and we will definitely want to stop several times to take in the views. Anybody interested?

My current understanding is that Ophir Pass is currently open to high clearance 4x4 vehicles only, and San Miguel County has taken steps to keep it open during the fire closure. If this changes, I will likely do Imogene both ways, or Last Dollar Road coming back.

Please note that these are technical trails (particularly Imogene). Do some research if you are thinking about joining.  Thumbs Up
