This is the day that I get into trouble.

Every year, I see the great Nightgrass lineup and instantly make my plans to attend at least two.  But this is when I have to remember that I'M OLD!

Last year, I could barely stay awake for what I thought was one of the best shows I had ever seen:  Greensky at the Palm.  Then the next night, I was so excited about seeing Red Knuckles.  Yet when I walked over to the edge of the Sheradan's balcony to watch the last few songs, I almost fell asleep.  But that would have been horrible as I was able to catch myself before I took a snoring stage dive right onto Red's lap from the upper deck.

Now I look at this lineup and think, "I can make it!  I'll be good and not have ANY alcohol that day and the Nightgrass show will be easy."

And yet I know better.  No amount of Red Bulls can save me.  And the "I won't drink that day"???  yeah, right.  I MUST RESIST!!!

...but I probably won't.

I hear you John, and I know what it's like to get OLD.

I don't do Nightgrass for fear that I'll fall asleep at the wheel of my scooter and end up in the San Miguel River.  Cheers

I cannot handle Night Grass. But it always looks So fun when the schedule comes out.  Some of us are needed at camp.

A little bummed Yonder are getting the boot from Wed night. Coming with a bunch of first timers and my first one back in awhile, and the tradition is getting replaced with a new country star. Bummer. Even without Jeff, this is still sad.

Dierks Bentley put on a hell of a show on the main stage last year with the Traveling McCoury's. I wasn't expecting much, so I listened to most of it from camp, but they played a bunch of ripping traditional style bluegrass stuff. I fully expect that night to be super hot up at the Conference Center. It also sounds like YMSB stepped aside to let this party happen, so I don't think they exactly got "booted."

Don't sell it short, it's likely to be a great night. Cheers

I can always manage one Nightgrass. In fact I live for it.

So looking forward to my very favourite night of the year.

There will be much dancing!

Though I’m going to resist Punch Brothers on closing night, not making that mistake again. Went my first year, pretty sure I did Nightgrass every night. By Sunday I was so utterly spent I literally fell asleep with my head jammed against the pillar upstairs at the Sheridan. Dragged myself down the stairs mid set and crawled into bed.

Yeah, it seemed like a great idea at the time but i know I’m not capable of making it to that finish line in one piece again ..........

I believe we will join the ranks of the "old timers" and make the wise decision to not do nightgrass this year. Really would love to be seeing Punch Brothers Sunday night. But, I know come Sunday I'm going to be drained. And though its no trouble staying awake for a nightgrass show, it makes for a crappy morning next day, and there's just too much good stuff happening on the main stage all day. I may reconsider and go see the Lil Smokies if theres some extras come showtime.

First time playing the Nightgrass lotto... really only want I'm With Her, but gonna enter for at least 1 show a night.
What is folks' general success of scoring tickets to any Palm or SOH shows?

Yes, past market behavior does not predict the future, I know....

So true ! I have gifted so many Nightgrass tickets. I love them though and it does take some stamina. One time a guy fell asleep with his head on my back behind me and when I moved forward he fell like a big tree. Crazy, fun but crazy.

Not sure where to put this questions but first timer here. What did the schedule look like last year in regards to what time the mainstage music ended? Would it be possible to catch all of Sturgill and still make it over to Punch Brothers at Sheridan?
