Great information, guys! So what might be in a typical bluegrass cooler? How much of things to share? Are we talking ounces, pounds, or vats?
Kaptain Karlos, where art though? Your input is requested!!
Hey there Daniela... I took a little trip over to Carson City, NV this past weekend in order to procure a big load of the finest Basque chorrizo on Earth. You'll get to taste it at the Town Hall in either quesidillas, breakfast burritos, or some other concoction I dream up...
Some share - some don't... it's up to the individual. I've always camped with a big group at TBF and have been camp coordinator, ABGAT, and chef, so this sharing of stuff comes natural to me. If you want to join-in with some food, the entire camp Pot-Luck before the fashion show is a great place to bring a dish.
Hippie Jerry and I are a bit out of the ordinary 'cause we like to cook and feed everybody around us even if we don't know who you are. This year there will be homebrew on tap, too! Pickers give us music. We give pickers food. It's a bit of a trade sometimes...
I bring a booze cooler filled with hard liquor and mixers.
I bring a meat cooler filled with frozen meats to barbecue.
I bring a bread, fruit, and veggie cooler for the things I don't want covered in meat juice.
I bring a round drink cooler for big mixed drinks like bloodys and margs.
I bring an extra cooler for storing stuff in... I just like coolers!
So... What-cha all got in your cooler for the festival!
