Hey folkers. John Fulbright and Bob Weir will be sharing the E-Town stage soon. If you are in the Boulder area I'd suggest getting tickets!

Is this different than the Weir / Kimock show @ E-Town wed night?

From a person who was in attendance / post on ratdog.org:

Small crowd - 200 people. Perfect sound quality inside.

Notable that of the GD tunes covered, they were all Jerry tunes; no Bob tunes. Loose Lucy, Ripple, Friend of the Devil, Bird Song & Loser. The rest was all from Blue Mtn, save one. Blue Mtn was the opener, with only Bob on stage. Other BM tunes were Only a River, Gonesville, One More River to Cross, Lay My Lilly Down... I'm forgetting one...

Interview portion was interesting. Probably a few anecdotes you've heard before, but Bob delivers them well. I won't steal the thunder from the radio show, other than to say one of the biggest laughs of the night came when Bob was talking about how they sucked in Egypt, partly because Billy had a broken arm, and "Mickey style isn't exactly, you know..." (long pause, nodding, leaning forward) "...not exactly suited to holding down the back beat."

Strange vibe between eTown host Nick Forster and Bob. Nick seemed to want to dance around political topics with both guests. Bob was perhaps baited into this and made a political statement that compared taxes (and infrastructure) to a river. At least a bit awkward, it will be interesting to see if that is left in the final cut for the radio show.

They say it will air (in syndication) around the country in 6-8 weeks.
