Actually GENTLEMEN...

If you read the first post in this topic...talking about getting your car ready Tom, is strictly OFF-TOPIC...

I should know.  I'm the dumbass responsible for this topic anyway.  It was created by Ron, but only because I was nervous, back in "the day", about posting a topic.  Thought I might offend.  So I sent him the "How to Prepare for Townpark" and asked him to put it up.

Now... back ON TOPIC -

Let's discuss how we are all individually doing with respect to the training program...

I am up to 2 revolutions per week... seriously behind schedule.  Remembering my academic history though, this next month will equate to an all night "cram" session just before the final.

Now who all is buying shots?  Who is buying me drinks?
Who is buying both Daniela and I body shots?
To whom do I owe body shots, shots and drinks?
And why hasn't Joey responded to my question about whether or not we were still on for breakfast?

OH!  Who's body will we be using for the body shots?

There!  Back on topic... alcoholic consumption

xoxo

Back on topic...

As for training...my neighbors are getting a little wigged out waking up and seeing me sprawled in my front yard.  Wait until the see me stting in the yard at 4:30ish with a tarp and brewing coffee, especially after hooting and hollering until after midnight Rollin

I am buying Monkeygirl and Daniela body shots

I'm more than happy to volunteer my body for the shots  Thumbs Up

Hooch... a little help here, I might be in over my head with these two Goddesses   Wink

I believe the Mayor is buying me a beer and he gets to pick an unsuspecting stranger for whom I will buy a beer...anyoone else want to buy me a beer?  Wave

Aaahhh...alcohol consumption   Cheers

Punchy,

We are ALL in over our heads with those two Goddesses....but in a good way.

Good luck surviving the body shot.  I'm here to support you all the way!

You should have seen the people that came recognized the Mayor!   And that hat was tremendous.   I kept wanting to curtsy.  Nothing like hanging out with nobility in Telluride.  And he tells the BEST stories!!  Thanks, Mayor Tom!!!   Love Love

I trained HARD last night with my "Yonder" boys (guys I met at the Yonder show few weeks ago), where we drank Patron, and danced to a good local roots music cover band.  Afterwards we actually wandered around the neighborhood, singing songs and looking for friends with "more beer."  We sang for beer at a couple of houses... and then basically crawled back to my place.

In typical "morning after" fashion, we all wondered who crapped in our mouths the night before, and took a cab back to the Port to pick up our cars.  40 mins later, a bike ride with two of the Yonder-boys up Emigration Canyon to "burn out the toxins" (who's freakin' idea was it to get up at 8:00 AM? sheesh!), and Bloodys at Jeff's house.

I'm only filling my fellow festivarians in on last night's activities in order to demonstrate that I am "training" for Telluride.  The feeling I had in my head/bones when I woke up today is reminiscent of those Town Park mornings...

I'm beginning to feel good enough to go to Liberty Park and practice tarp running.  I could practice running past people at the park and tossing the tarp.  I don't think anyone would find that odd....

I look forward to the body shots... I think it OK to speak for Daniela when I say that she and I would be happy to use Punchy's body for the body shots.  (Punchy, you are in over your head with Daniela and I... but don't worry - we'll take it easy on you!)

My training is now in full force...

xoxo

My training program is in full swing...

Friday night I was sound engineer for a "battle of the bands" A hundred or so twenty somthings all hyped up on hooch ar someting like that. There was this twentysomething girls on some kind of something that kept rubbing her breasts on my shoulder while I was tweaking the knobs... NOT her knobs you perverts, the sound board - idiots; Look but don't touch.  Guess you had to be there.

Then it was off to the Saloon to check out the Miller Carr Band. Great group from Sanat Monica. 70s surf music meets jazz. AND they were selling vinyl of the newest LP Thumbs Up. Can you say Cazadores?

Up at 6am Saturday morning to load the truck for my opening festival of the year... Cuisine on the green. Mika the wonderdog was an incredible sport, greeting and playing with everyone in sight. Her first Festival, maybe she stayed calm cause of all those sausages that people slipped to her LOL... Five acts in 5 hours kept my beer reps at a minimum, that coupled with this case of allergies that hit Friday afternoon.

Tune Report:
Folk singer Krickie sounds much more like an angel.
Next up was the PineNeedles - very hot jamgrass, they keep getting better, they might be ready to tour next year! Pine Needles
The Blue Bellies inroduced a new chick drummer! Right after our good friend Audrey Auld Mezera Did a little suprise tweener. The music Club from Bolinas wound it all up and brought me in for a gentle landing.

A quick beer for the strike and it was back on the road for the evening shows.... Mika got in the back seat and crashed as soon as we started driving. We unloaded the sound gear and I was off to "work" for an art theatre performance by the ArtShip Ensemble I was very pleasantly amazed by the theatrical presentation of this group. I only was able to grab a beer during the first act cause the second act had a bunch of really intricate light cues.

The evening wound up at the Saloon again... The NitCaps played, they are a really fun band that has been easy to deal with for the past year I've been booking music in the bar. Good times, good friends, good tequila (much deserved), and good micro brew.

Mika and I got home and crashed. She's gonna be a great festival dog!

I get to do the whole thing again in three weeks with our big Western Weekend Days... Mean while I'm stoked for Ramblin Jack next Saturday!

I'd go on and on but the Giants are playing the Rockies and I'm due for a special Yummyrita.

Happy Sunday y'all
