I told you she was a smart one! It's Sarah... redux... and we all know how that turned out (FANTASTIC!)

Lalagay, do you have a hill nearby, and I mean any, even a short one, that you could run up for practice?  LOL

No..No! It's just the same as on the rugby pitch. Anything goes! Newbie or not.
It is a hoot, though, and a great tradition. I'm sure you'll get to run one of the days for whichever camp you become part of. It does get you pumped up for the day.  Thumbs Up

Remember the tarp fold is as important as the run. One flip of the wrist and that tarp needs to set down in place.

I've got the fold & flick down to a fine art (it's a long waft followed by a quick snatch back .... oh yes!) - now the running bit; that's causing me great concern.  Can we not set off in alphabetical order and Ill use my mother's maiden name ......

Glad to know you've got the fold & flick mastered 12_String!  Thumbs Up
Maybe you could share your knowledge and we could organise some dummy Tarp running exercices this side of the Atlantic, get all the UK Festivirgins together and work on that patriotic team spirit (with perhaps a little tea party and some scones afterwards)...
I'm sure we could get at least one person good enough to run for England!  LOL

Dont know Bluegrass from Greengrass but will soon

How about we wax polish 4 tea trays and slide down with our tarp trailing.

My worry is that being a Brit team we'd probably drop the tarp somewhere or slide past the stage.

Cant we just skip the tarp run and saunter to the bar instead ?  Cheers

Now there's a thought - put the bar right at the front and offer free beer - I know people who could just about fly for that.  EEK!

I get a warm patriotic feeling when people volunteer like that Lalagay, well done and three cheers for the Anglo-French, tarp-running Heroine.

Hooraah....

Now; pass the scones please.  Wink
