So, partly because I love the new Greensky album I have bought my flight tickets and booked accommodation to fly from Australia AGAIN to come to Telluride. Getting super excited, of course despite the fact that it is eight months away. ( How can a year be that long?)  When it suddenly hit me - what if I come all this way and Greensky aren't actually playing??? Tell me this isn't possible...Greensky is like Sam Bush aren't they? A Telluride definite??  Will they be there in 2017?  Cause there will be tears otherwise.... Cannot wait to see everyone again Spiritual home....... Flower Flower Flower

When are you flying in? You should try coming earlier so you can spend more time hanging with friends in TP!

I will be in Tride on Tuesday, hurray

Favorite Greensky albums (assuming just listening to the studio album):

1) Five Interstates
2) Handguns
3) If Sorrows Swim
4) Shouted
5) Tuesday Letter

Their albums are so strong because I love Tuesday Letter and still had to put it in the #5 slot.

Now, if we're talking about songs I want to hear live then Five Interstates drops. I would put Handguns in the top slot with heavy hitters like All Four, Don't Lie and Bring Out Your Dead. Sorrows would rank second with songs like Windshield, Kerosene and Leap Year. I'm excited to see several shows over the next couple months to see which of the new songs they start to expand (like they already do with Living Over).

Skubes/Beru/Sugar/Hooch, what's your Greensky album list?

This is a very important question.  I will have to ponder for a day or two to put them in order.  Pressure!

Ok, you know that you are making me GREEN with envy now? Have ordered these, still waiting to receive them via snail mail though Handguns arrived this week. In the meantime,  I have watched many GSBG concerts online but it is often hard to know which song is which.  I think they are an outstanding group.

I really don't have a favourite song, I constantly find new things in their work. Play GSBG every day, sometimes I just sing along, sometimes they make me dance, other times I get a bit sad and reflective - all the emotions you want from your favourite band.

Such a great addition to my life, all thanks to Telluride BGF  ( and giving credit to Sugar who told me to listen to them as I prepared to come to Telluride the first time).

Life is grand. Forget about everything.

Try as I may, it cannot be done.  Putting the albums in order means one has to come in last, which is pretty much unthinkable.  That said, I think Handguns remains in "favorite" position.

Mr. Nick,

Decisions, decisions....

The album that really got me into the boyswas Handguns. Now, after having listened to all of their work numerous times, my current ranking is (in terms of what I would choose if I could only pick one to play):

1. Five Interstates
2. If Sorrows Swim
3. Handguns
4. Shouted
5. Tuesday Letter

Do we even dare to continue this discussion by ranking the top 5 Greensky songs? Ok, let's get nuts with it!

1. All Four
2. Old Barns
3. Atlantic City (yes, yes, a cover but man oh man)
4. Can't Make Time
5. Kerosene

(ok, that was tough and that list most likely will change a few days from now)

I have NEVER felt this way about a band since I was a kid and worshipped The Monkees. Seriously. I'm besotted. I pretty much fly from Australia every year to see them. I don't know why they have gotten under my skin so much. The music is great, the band members are fantastic but actually I think it is the camaraderie of the GSBG campers that does it. We are family......

I love how much they make me happy. Thanks TBGF .....

Billy - I love this project!  But I will have to return to it.  Too much to assess and I don't want to get it wrong.

As for the covers, Atlantic City would be in my favorite songs that the boys do, and Working on a Building.  Maybe I just need to make a list of the top 5 songs that melt my face/heart when heard live?
