to all the Planet Bluegrass folks, all the volunteers, the incredible musicians, and the amazing festivarians who helped make my first Telluride the greatest weekend of my life! I've been hearing so many good things about TBF for so many years, and as a massive NGR fan it's always been at the top of my bucket list- everything I've heard is true and it even exceeded all my expectations. From arriving at the fest and taking my first ever gondola ride to the kickoff sets all the way through Chris and Critter's goosebumps moment on the Sheridan floor to close the last NightGrass, everything was top-notch. I never heard a band that I didn't love, even the ones I knew nothing about (good lord, the Oh Hellos!) and I got to finally see something I've been chasing for a really long time: John and Sam singing together.
Not only was the music amazing, but I talked to so many sweet people and had some amazing food/drinks (raise your hand if the ice cream vendor saved your whole festival more than once) and just generally had an incredible time. I even made it part of the way up to Bridal Veil before the elevation got me... when I come back, I'll make it all the way up
Seriously, I could go on and on about what a great time I had. Thank y'all so much. xo
