I (Chuck) will be there solo. Very excited for my first TBF! I have a quick question about the shuttle: does it start when the festival starts or does it run all week? I have a ticket for the yonder wednesday show and want to make sure I can get down to it. Thanks, look forward to seeing you all at the campground!

Hi Chuck, the buses start running on Wednesday morning. They usually stay running for about 45 min to an hour after nightgrass.

Carol and Jim M checking in at Mary E. Illiun.  We are newbies so we appreciate all the good advice here.  I am a fiddler.  We both grew up in Chicago, but call the Northwoods of Wisconsin home and love it!  Looking forward to making some great music and memories!

Another question, is there water at the campground?

Starting Wednesday, there will be water at the campground.  A large tank was brought in on a trailer and refilled as needed two years ago.

Greetings! Our first experience at the Festival! Whoot!
Family of 3 with our amazing 7 year old Lautner.
Amazing info found on this thread! Thank you in advance.
Couple questions for a 1st Timer... Any tips greatly appreciated!
--Fires being forbidden, is a propane heater necessary?
--Arriving Thursday morning, will there be any decent campsites left? How crowded does it get?
Thank you Thank you for any beta!
Best,
Michael

Hello, there are NO fires at the campground, sorry. Propane heaters are ok though. If you have a heater it might not be a bad idea to bring it. There will be plenty of good spots left. Mary E. is long campground.  Not to worry.

Hey all, one last question occurred to me while I was getting all my gear together today. If you do not have a camping pass are you able to drive into the campground and unload your gear before going and parking your car, or do you have to park first and then walk/ shuttle your gear up to the campground. Also, where do you park your car? Thanks for all the help! Can't wait for the festival!

Question for you guys.  This will actually be my first year camping due to everyone bailing at the last second.  I know there is no booze allowed at the HS, but i'm solo so the family camping isn't a big hassle.

Would you guys recommend MEI or the HS?  That close proximity of the school just sounds so much easier.

If you'd like to actually sleep some, the HS (and it's proximity in town) is what I'd do.  The scene @ MEI is fantastic, with more activity/jams, etc. with just a bit of travel time on the shuttle. It's all great!

Hi Skyrunner -

This is Chris from Durango, CO. Will be arriving in a vintage Toyota mini-motorhome. I am volunteering at the beer tent, but snoozed and vehicle passes are sold out. I have a camping pass for MEI, but no vehicle pass. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Thanks Skyrunner! Acquired a propane heater and Adjusting plans to arrive Wednesday to insure a good camping spot! Can't wait to see all the smiling faces!

Due to some work constraints, I won't be arriving until Wednesday evening. Will there still be space available?
