Another new addition to the 2016 Folks Festival...

David Wax Museum
www.davidwaxmuseum.com
(performing on Friday, August 19)

For nearly a decade David Wax Museum has been fusing Mexican folk music with rootsy Americana and Irish folk musics for a hybrid that's been called Mexo-Americana. The quintet creates a rhythmically driving sound with infectious melodies, joyous harmonies, and David's clever lyrics.

As an introduction to David Wax Museum's current evolution, check out their most recent live session on NPR's World Cafe.

Or this live version of their latest CD's awesome title track "Guesthouse": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MxZmchgciI
