I saw Trout Steak & Mustered Courage at Finn-Swede Hall last year. Venues that size are my favorite way to see music. I thought the venue was fantastic, but they had some issues with blowing breakers. Perhaps the old building isn't wired with a large enough service to handle the musicians equipment.

Oh yeah, I was at that show. The neighbors were complaining so they had to close the doors...it was COOKING in there (heat and vibewise) ;-)

I noticed that the Nightgrass page only has two in town venues listed (Sheridan and Palm).  Anyone know if they are just going with two this year and doing less shows? I didn't get to see the third venue last year but I always enjoyed the Fly Me to the Moon Saloon shows with the up and coming bands...

Not only up and coming bands, but perhaps one of the most enjoyable experiences was in 2014 seeing Aoife O'Donovan there and getting to chat with Pickles in the audience, where he tipped me off the two of them would be doing a fall tour that year.

Now Morning grass sounds like a whole new tradition.  We can go around doing 5:00 anahuacs.  I can be up at that hour.

The Kruger Brothers' website lists them for the 17th and 18th and we know they're on the main stage on the 17th. Could be a Saturday nightgrass or it could be an Elk's Park show. For some reason, I don't see them at The Sheridan, so hopefully this means there is a third NG venue.

Del's website has him in Telluride the 16th, 17th and 18th, so he could be playing a nightgrass Friday or Saturday as well. I can't see him playing the third NG venue (if there is one), so he might be at Elk's Park on Friday and then the Sheridan on Saturday. Of course, the dates on his website could just mean he'll be in town those three days and will sit in with his friends and he won't be doing a nightgrass show at all.

Looking today, I don't see any Telluride dates on Greensky's website, but I would trust Skubes to know Greenksy's tour itinerary right down to which gas stations they'll be stopping at. So Saturday at The Palm it is.

While The Punch Brother's don't have anything listed, I imagine they'll be doing their traditional Sunday night show at The Sheridan.

I have it on good authority that The Dusters will be playing nightgrass, but no word on what night or what venue. And traditionally, the winners of the band competition get a nightgrass show, so I'd expect to see The Lil Smokies on the lineup somewhere, probably Saturday.

So far we have confirmed/can assume:

Friday Sheridan - Yonder
Friday Palm - Salmon

Saturday Palm - Greensky
Saturday Sheridan - Del?
Saturday Third venue - Lil Smokies and The Kruger Brothers?

Sunday Sheridan - Punch Brothers?

This leaves Thursday wide open for The Dusters at either venue (hopefully The Sheridan!) or they could hit Saturday if Del's website is just listing the days he'll be in town.

Of course, this is all purely speculation and the only real conclusion you can draw from this post is that it's really slow at work today and I needed something to occupy my time.

Bahahahaha!!!  You know me well, Sug.

The dates were up a few days ago, and listed Friday & Saturday, venues included.  For whatever reason, the powers that be took them down.  But I swear they were there.
