I LOVE the TBG Spotify playlist ( apart from one utterly bizarre artist who is so annoying we both rush to turn it off when he comes on, you can suggest who this might be). To each their own! Sure there are many who love him, just not me.

Anyway, i wanted to say that Lil Smokies are FANTASTIC. We are both in love with this band now and have put their stuff on high rotation. So good, so good.

It is just starting to get cool here, after four months of non stop swimming i actually put on long pants this morning. The prospect of Telluride sunshine is beckoning, cannot wait to see you all again.

Yes! The Smokies really are that good. They opened for Sam Bush in Missoula recently and Sam mentioned that he was "knocked out" by them. I'm beyond excited to see them at Telluride. Their live album is easily one of my most listened to albums. I was at The Top Hat the night they recorded it. They played four full sets that night and blew everyone away. They're also heading out to Portland soon to record a new album with some fantastic new tunes they've been working on.

Sugar, i remember that Lil Smokies are one of your favourites. You havent sent me down a bad music rabbit hole yet. They are fantastic - though i have to say "California" sounds way so much like Bruce Springsteen, spooky

Cannot wait to see them live. You think they will get a Nightgrass?

The winner of the band competition usually gets a nightgrass, so I imagine they'll have one. That and an Elk's Park set.

Can't quite figure how I didn't see the Lil Smokies last TBF, (or maybe I did and didn't know it?) but I love what I've heard so far!  Thumbs Up
They're coming to Minnesnowta (Ed's in Winona) in April, so I won't be missing that.  Cheers
Can't quite figure how I didn't meet you, AF, either... so many stories @ the BIG fest.   Flower

Last I heard, the Smokies will be with Wander-In again this year, of their own free will.   LOL

But the best part about not remembering is that you get to meet new friends every year you attend!
