Has anybody suggested Paul Simon?  He did a great collaboration with the Punch Brothers and Sarah Jarosz on Prairie Home Companion a couple of weeks ago. https://youtu.be/IPjzRZCCAPA

Perhaps PB was saving up for him last year  LOL

Not sure if these are correct, but it appears he pulls in quite a lot of $$$ for a performance.

OUCH.   Well, there goes that idea.  It also dashes my secret hopes of seeing Prince in the box canyon. $1.5 million for him!

I just saw Prince here in Australia at his "piano and a microphone" tour. It was so intimate, so amaxing. One of the most mindblowing concerts i have ever seen.

Arent we lucky to be surrounded by such talent?

So how much fun would it be to hear Paul Simon singing Gumboots with Greensky?

There were multiple Paul sightings a few years ago when Steve and Edie jumped in for Mumford...There was rumor that he might take the stage and stand in, but of course never did. Buuuut, maybe he was romanced by main street and bridal falls, and dropping some his fees a little....

Also- remember this from Ferg in Dec: "Hmm... goodness... whoever do we start with? I know who I WANT to start with, only been trying to hire him for 30 straight years or so, but that might need some time to get the "ok"."

Who could that be?? Is "he" already on the line up?? I don't think so!

Yes he is! It is Neil Finn. Ferg has been trying to get Neil Finn there for thirty years ( and he will be awesome)

That said, Paul Simon would be cool...on our new stage!

I think your theory makes a LOT of sense. Paul Simon as headliner on Saturday night? Perfect choice. Come on Ferg, spill it 😃😃😃😃

Ferg's been trying to get Neil Finn for 30 years? That does not sound quite right to me. But what do I know?? Yes, would be quite the scene if it's Paul though!

Perhaps they're ironing out who's going to foot the bill for the private jet out of Telluride after the show Sat night in order to get to the next gig:
