Are bears a concern at Mary E. campground? Also what is the river looking like, gonna bring my flyrod.

Please make sure to secure your camp as always tie up or secure food and keep it out of your tent. Bears are here but so many people are about,  they lay low. But this is not NYC so yeah you know what to do. Wink

The rivers are too full and fast right now but still fun to fish. LOL So you know what to do on that front too! Medal

Varmints, this is Colorado folks and it is chalk full of nature and weather and some varmints. Respect the land, be kind and aware of the wildlife around you and if your lucky you will see an array of beautiful wildlife! But in all the years I have been to Telluride and on solo hikes in the morning(best chance to see a bear) I have never seen a bear..rest easy. Flower

Lets hit the road already Cheers.

^ What LS said.

While bears will mostly stay away from large noisy groups of people, there's no sense in tempting fate in so far as either attracting or creating a "problem" bear & giving it a strike against it's life!
