The average population of TBF is around 14 to 15 thousand folks, but that includes Planet Bluegrass Staff (love you!), Volunteers (thank you!), Musicians (love you!), Musician Crews (thank you!) Vendors (thank you!) and Festivarians ( FESTIVVVAAALLL!!!).

So basically, YOU and about 12 thousand of your best friends!!!

I remember reading a couple years back (3 maybe?) the town approved a bump up to 12K.  Sounds like the cap has fluctuated a bit in the years since the 40th:

Hi Auntie Hope,

I plan to arrive on Wed 17 June lunch time. I say plan because I will probably be driving down from Moab. The whole driving on the wrong side of the road (for me) has me a bit cautious. I ended up getting a hire car because I couldn't find any other way to get to Telluride. I will certainly pop into Town Hall camping to find you.

I have only 6 sleeps to go before I head off to the States! Looking forward to meeting everyone.
