I have two tickets for High School camping and I was wondering how difficult/possible it is to leave Telluride once I've already been parked?

Rather than spending all four days at the festival, I'd like to go out and explore the San Juan Mountains half the time I'm down there. Would I be better off camping somewhere else?

You'll be fine to take a day trip, you'll just head back to festival parking upon your return and head back down into town.

Cheers
