I'm a festivirgin, as far as Telluride goes, and I am super excited! I will be camping in Lawson and volunteering up at Mary E. I guess it's the best of both worlds! I'm from Oklahoma so flat baseball field like conditions are just like home. I am bringing a shade house of some sort to help out with the sun and rain. The river sounds great too.
I can't wait to meet some other volunteers and drink some good beer. My faves are New Belgian Brew and Long's Peak Blueberry, which I don't get very often, since Oklahoma keeps all the beer WARM because of the stupid liquour laws. If Long's Peak Blueberry is in season I'll bring some down from Estes Park to share.
And I can't wait to hear some great music. I don't play anything and only really sing when no body's listening, but I love to be part of that outer circle around the pickers that Cort talks about. Like the glass around a cake.
