I usually run up Bear Creek when I get into town, and run up to Bridal Veil and beyond at some point during the festival. Last year I went up to Blue Lake, and it was pretty hard to get there. Still snowed in.

We do Weibe every year. My fave! Bear Creek is great too. It's a road as well, but splits off to a single track at the top.

I must have been not been given the correct info. I thought you have to have a barricade pass to drive in town during the festival days  huh huh huh

You do have to have a barricade pass in order to drive into town during the festival.

If you are parked in town (you got there early enough) and want to drive out to a hiking spot, then you will have to park in Mountain Village when you return.
