My first encounter with the Avett Brothers was MANY years ago at TBF. They looked like a bluegrass band, but then they took those instruments to a different level. These were rock stars with banjos!
Years down the line, I've become a big AB fan. Seen them many times, including last month. Every show is better than the last.
Now Seth Avett gives me one more reason to get them back at TBF. "Seth Avett & Jessica Lea Mayfield Sing Elliott Smith" (now streaming on NPR's First Listen:
