Nice lineup!  Aside from Salmon, I don't see another headliner though.  There must be some ginchy additions on the horizon. Wink

I'm a bit out of the loop, but wonder if John Butler Trio might be a headliner. The kids seem to know who they are these days ;-)

Definitely love both the Dusters and Greensky. I know not everyone's going to both, but the Dusters are queued up for RG and RGA so that should be dynamite. I'll do my best to get Greensky nightgrass tix if they do one.

Pretty excited to see Miss Abigail. Love her.

Yes, JBT may very well be a headliner.  They would also be great for a midday Sat/Sun set too.  I know Cat Stevens is on the bill, and most likely a Thu/Sun headliner.

It's so hard to not be musically spoiled as a festivarian.  Like a spoiled brat, I scanned the lineup for David Byrne or Robert Plant type of names.  No "stadium" names found - shucks.

But then I looked at each listing.  There are only a few artists that I would not go out of my way to see if they came to town.  Artist after artist in that list would get me buying tickets IMMEDIATELY!  In fact, the only ones that I wouldn't be grabbing tickets for are the ones I don't know about, and based on how many of the others entered my favorites list as unknowns before I saw them in T-ride, I know that they will soon be on the "gotta see them again" list.

Adding up the price of these "gotta have" a concert tickets would be horrifying.  If this lineup came to town one after the other, I'd have to make decisions about who to see and who to skip based on my personal economics.  But in T-ride, I get to see them ALL.  Add in all the other fun that happens during the fest and your TBF ticket becomes the best deal in music.

So my first glance at the list was unfair, but only cuz I'm spoiled by year after year after year of fantastic TBF lineups.  We certainly have it good, and this year's lineup, even if no huge names are added, is more testimony to that fact.

Thanks, PB, for spoiling us with great music every single year!  And thanks for making me look forward to the 2015 Fest with this fantastic lineup of "CAN'T MISS" artists.

That's because they never release the REAL heavy-hitters right away. Get ready for some truly epic announcements in the coming months as more bands are confirmed and tickets sold! PB rightly doesn't want day tickets to sell just for the headliner act, they'd prefer people to be ready to commit for the entire lineup.

Searching through the lineup 5 or 6 times wondering how I missed Mule, only to discover this post didn't mean what I thought it meant, was harsh.

@rossstevens is looking at an imaginary list this morning  Cheers Cheers

OK - after seeing the line-up, reading the post after, then looking for that elusive "Mule" (  LOL thanks mandhoe) a few points.....

A. -  Rockin Clap Cheers

B. - Each and every band on this list is a headliner. That's what makes TBF so special!  Flower

C. - That "Aussie" band was taken hostage, without ransome, years ago. If you try to stuff them in your dunner cover and take them out of the country, well... there will be problems.   LOL Evil LOL

Very strong lineup.  The Stu-Noam and Chris and Edgar sets will be very special.  You can tell how much effort goes in to curating (yeah i know its a pretentious word) the fest.  Still thinking the Decemberists may be a late addition.  But that would be gravy on the cake.

Onward and wager all!

Great lineup! But it needs one thing to be perfect. Don't make me find yet another new festival to attend just to get my Dusters fix this summer!

Although, going to String Summit last year to see The Dusters was one of the best decisions I've ever made . . .

I'd beg to differ in so far as your take on "rightly" ... while I see what you're getting at and it has some merrit, not everyone can afford to commit to the entire festival.   Especially, those who live and work in town or the region and can only make it for one day.   From the perspective of such individuals, they now have to blindly pick a day vs. selecting the day which hosts their favorite performers.

Thank you for the line up which is fantastic, so many legends of bluegrass, cannot believe we will see so many people we have listened to for years. At last! And three of the great discoveries through this forum are there, hurrah. Now this is just a personal thing but um, are there going to be many more women appearing on stage cause I have to admit my very favourites are AK, Emmy Lou, Iris, Dolly, Bonnie  etc and while I am definitely not greedy just one of them would send me to heaven. Just saying.....thank you for the fantastic line up and the excitement keeps building. You guys are awesome. Wave Wave

I don't know if I'd go as far as to say Trout Steak Revival and/or the Fairfield Four are festival headliners, but I like your energy!  Even if it just a tad goofy. Thumbs Up
