We've posted the initial listing of instructors for the 2015 RockyGrass Academy (July 19-23):
   http://www.bluegrass.com/rga/instructors.html

This is going to be another stellar year, featuring 3 bands-in-residence who are at the top of the bluegrass world: The Infamous Stringdusters, Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, and the Kruger Brothers.  And we still have more than a third of the instructors left to announce -- including the vocal, songwriting, and kids camp instructors -- so stay tuned!

Registration for the Academy is done via an online lottery, which is open now (!!) thru next Wednesday, November 12 at 11:59pm MST.  Checkout all the lottery details and submit your entry at:

So so so very curious about the Vocal and Songwriting..... do I have to choose?
RGA or Song School. Very hard and I wish I understood what the difference is if any.

RGA or Song School. Very hard and I wish I understood what the difference is if any.

The basic difference is going to be that RGA is going to be focused more on Bluegrass than more Folk based songwriting at Song School.

The entire week of Song School is centered around songwriting where at RGA you'll be focusing on both vocals and songwriting for your "core class" hours.

Not sure that helps, but hopefully it does a bit...
