Arriving Thursday

Hey Folks veterans, first timer here coming from VA, looking to get into town thursday evening and we have car camping on site.  Is it going to be tough to get a spot?

What time do you expect to arrive?  The earlier you arrive the more choices you have.  If you arrive very late you can still find good spots for your tent but maybe not your car.  But I don't keep my car next to my tent anyway, I move it across town to make room for other folks.  I don't drive anywhere once I'm there.  Everything is walking distance.

We're probably going to arrive between 6-8.

You'll be fine then.  They open the gates at 6:00.  A line forms at the opposite side of town, in the parking area.  So if you get there soon after 6:00 you'll see the procession of cars going to Planet Bluegrass.  Follow the signs to the parking area and get in line.  Even arriving at 8:00 you'll get a good spot, although you'll be setting up in the dark, so if you can arrive earlier, it's better.

Once you get in and find a spot and get set up, pop a beer, relax, introduce yourself to your neighbors, and prepare to have a great weekend!
