Best place to grocery shop in / outside T-ride

First year going to the fest and I'm imagining that everything in the town of Telluride is pretty expensive, so I was wondering where the best place to get some groceries would be closest to the fest. Someone previously mentioned a Wal-Mart in Montrose but didn't know if there was anything else reasonably priced closer. Will be staying in Ouray the night before. Thanks!

we always stop at the Montrose Walmart. the places in town are very expensive

Montrose will be your last economical stop before Telluride, I recommend that you get any food or beverages there.  I once stopped in Ridgeway to get beer and it was nearly double the price you'd pay anywhere else.
