Here is the link to a 1972 Traffic concert.  It is so good on so many levels.  First of all, the tunes and the musicianship are top-notch.  Then, there's the hair and the clothes.  How about a "dress like Steve Winwood" contest on Friday night?  Oh wait, Festivarians already dress like that.  Finally, there's the incredible dance and tambourine performance by Jim Capaldi.  Capaldi was the original drummer with Traffic, but he obviously felt too confined, sitting behind the drum kit.  (Side note: Steve is going to have to blink a little more in the dry mountain air.)

I'm very psyched for Steve Winwood's set in Town Park.  Finally, someone to play Dear Mr. Fantasy without having to cover it!

Seriously, I think we're in for a (yet another) treat.

Couldn't agree with you more, Bevin. Do you think he's going to bust out most of the classics? Can't find my way home, Low Spark, etc?

Looks like I will have to miss part of Greensky for Steve

I hope so!  I'd looooove to see Low Spark and any of the other hits from that era.

I used to own this on a bootleg DVD in college and watched it religiously.

Good stuff. Medal

Found this review from a show last fall; sounds like he's definitely doing some of his classics.   Cheers

What about Steve Windwood's version of Rainmaker with Peter Rowan?  It could happen!
