So this is my 3rd year going to telluride but my first year hoping to use a tarp. I was looking for tips/tricks to make it a successful experience. We are staying in Warner field outside of town and the bus doesn't start till 730 so I was wondering if we didn't get there till after that would we still be able to have a tarp? I don't care if our group is close we just want a place to sit. Any advice is welcome. Can't wait to see ya'll there!!!

If you are staying in Warner Field you are going to be right on site- so you will be able to get a really good/early spot.

If you have Warner Field tickets, you're not outside of town. You are actually right next to the festival field. If that is the case, you use the Town Park/Warner line which is different from the town line.

But if you're sure you're staying out of town, you probably have Lawson Hill camping, which is also on a baseball field.

Most of the more established groups have tarp space which is unoccupied much of the time. Bring plenty of water, some extra cash for excellent festy food, and a low back chair. You are welcome to occupy and empty tarp until the owners return, befriend them and you'll have lifetime friends. Don't forget a daypack with warm clothes, it gets cold when the sun goes to bed over the mountain. See you on a tarp somewhere...
