I am very hopeful the Black Lillies get invited to play TBF next year. I saw them at Memorial Day Strawberry Music Festival this year and they were awesome. A combination of roots rock, Americana, a little soul, etc.

They've played Pagosa before and starting to really increase their touring (I know they love Colorado).

What other acts out there do you want to see at TBF in 2014? (not looking for the same ol' responses like Sam, Neil Young) but bands you know of that would fit in -the goal is to learn about some new music!

 Cheers

I'm gearing up to see Town Mountain tomorrow night. They'd be a great fit for the festival. Somewhat more traditional but they're not just a one trick pony.

I'd also love to see the Travelin McCoureys get a set to themselves on the mainstage. Those guys kill it every time.

And, while they're not a new band strictly speaking, Head for the Hills just killed it in Missoula to a nearly empty crowd. Even with few people there, they still put on a great show. Those guys are going places!

I've been really drawn to their playing, both seeing them sit in and hearing them back up Del. any recommended shows I should check out? I usually hit the "most downloaded" on Archive, but most of those are with Keller Williams, who I am not a fan of.

How about a new old guy like Mark Knopfler?  I have been attending TBF since 2003 and he has never been on stage.  I do not know if he has before then.

I can't think of a better fit, for both the festival and the band, than Goat Rodeo.

I'd love to see the Goat Rodeo Sessions w/ yo yo ma. Most of the band plays TBF every year, so it wouldn't be a stretch to feature this band. Why they haven't already played is beyond me.

I'd also like to see the Black Lillies.

One of my favorites as of late is Grant Gordy, who plays with the DGQ. I've seen him in lots of great configurations with incredible musicians like Jayme Stone and Ross Martin, as well as up-and-coming artists like Alex Hargreaves (Sarah Jarosz), Billy Contreras, and Dominick Leslie.   These are some of the next generation's greats, and I hope to see more of these artists featured on the mainstage.

Sean played with Jackson Browne this year and did a set with Sara in Elks Park. I hope he would always be invited back!
