Shakey Graves put on a pretty great show opening for The Devil Makes Three here in Denver last month. An incredible one man show.

I've fallen in love in Telluride several times....

There was Shawn Colvin...but she never answered my letters...the restraining order expires next year though, so I'm thinking she's probably dying to hear from me again...you know, update her on every detail of my life in long, rambling letters written on Hostess Fruit Pie wrappers.  I've been writing them for years....want to see?  But I digress...

So after that there was my wife.   She's a good one...I'll keep her, thank you.

But, I have a confession...I continue to fall in love.

Shawn was replaced by Alison Krauss.  But she must be the most careless person ever, 'cause every time I track down her cell #, it gets changed again...I guess she loses her phone a lot or something.   I still have the one she dropped when she found me hiding in the bathroom of her tour bus.  I tried to give it back, but that gal can haul ass when she's scared!   Never saw her after she hurdled the ball field fence and took off over Warner.  I would've caught her if I hadn't tripped when she threw hew bow behind her.

So I've had a hole in my heart, and it turns out it just needed a little Aoife O'Donovan to fill it.  But I haven't seen her perform yet live....so she doesn't know how much she loves *me* yet.   I figure we could fix that if she played TBF 2014.  In fact, I'd propose:

Bring back Shawn and Alison, so they can try and woo my heart back from the big stage.  Oh, it will be in vain, but it will be fun to watch them squirm as they sing all their deepest love songs direct to me.

Then have Aoife perform with her current band, with Goat Rodeo, and with a very special Crooked Still reunion.   When she finds this was all my idea, she'd fall madly in love with me, and the resulting pain when she finds I'm happily married will be the motivation for the songs on her next album, which will win accolades and awards from all genres, launching her into the international spotlight she deserves.

Huck,

Probably shouldn't mention this, but during the last AKUS perfornamce, I DID see your wife exchanging phone numbers with Sam Bush.  That Cardinals shirt she calls her Sammy Shirt really IS Sammy's.

I really like Jake Bugg. He's a young songwriter from Enlgand who I've been enjoying recently. Here's one off his new album.

That was only so Lynn Bush could call Tessa, by the way. Some fundraiser for the kids in the mountains.

Jeff, that was just creepy. I'm so proud to call you friend.  Thumbs Up

Agreed Fatty on Pert and FMTM. Great show! The dude who played the back beat on the left side with his feet was quite entertaining. Love to see Pert on the main stage or Elks.

Rhonda Vincent. I know she's not new but I don't think she has ever played the Tride stage. She is home grown Bluegrass and her voice rings true to it.

So just do it! LOL

I was told she can be a bit of a deva. Deva, shmemva. I will pick out the green M & M's just ask her to sing!
I like the way she wears dresses and heels and does the girl thing. Deva...

Cause she can, that's why. She does Bluegrass proud!

Rock on RV!!!!! Cheers

Not sure if they've played TBF in the past, but here's a vote for Larry Keel and Natural Bridge.
