Son Volt

Saw them a couple of weeks ago and thought it was the best concert I'd seen all year.

Ooh, I agree, Bevin!   Thumbs Up

And may I add : THE GOAT RODEO  HAS TO PLAY IN 14' . We have everybody but Yo Yo Ma . "PLEASE"!!

I have tickets to see them next month and admire the shirt out of all the players but I think it's not fest applicable.  Too quiet, too intricate for Town Park.  Just my opinion and I welcome discussion but even world class music sometimes just doesn't fit.

How about Sleepy LaBeef, if he can survive the altitude. A true legend, and if he brings Kenny Vaughan with him, so much the better.

Ok, how about Sleepy LaBeef, Pokey LaFarge together with Shia LaBeouf doing the introduction?

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with your statements, but I'll point out that a fest that a has Edgar Meyer doing solo bass sets, and Bela doing his Classical compositions could never exclude Goat Rodeo

I agree, though I'm guessing those sets don't sit firmly with Ed, either; there's also the likelihood that a high profile set of musicians like Goat Rodeo would probably be given a set later in the day, during which the "intricacy" (I like that word, so I'm quoting it) of a Goat Rodeo set might not be as well-appreciated by the whole of the Festivarian body. Just presuming a lot of stuff here, though. They'd surely kill it, no doubt.
