The Kitchen Dwellers, great up and coming bluegrass act.

They've been doing the contest the past couple of years and haven't made the finals to date. I wouldn't be surprised to see them back in the contest this year. I also think they're playing better than ever right now. They make it up to Missoula several times a year playing local bars and always have a good performance, but recently they've just been getting better and better. Really cool guys, too. I love that some Montana Bluegrass bands have been getting some love on this forum.

The Dixie Bee-Liners!   Why this band is not more well-known is a complete mystery to me. Exquisite picking and angelic female lead vocals.

James Justin and Co! Or the Packway Handle Band would be nice, both really unknown bands that need to be known!

I'd also love to see the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band make an appearance.

I've seen them four times at TBF. Thumbs Up

I'm sure they had lots of great guest musicians join them. I've not seen them yet and would love to get the chance to. It's been ten years. Bringing them back sometime soon would be fantastic.

Dave Simonett of Trampled By Turtles produced an album for an Olympia/Minneapolis based duo known as The Lowest Pair. (Kendl Winter & Palmer T. Lee)

I would love to see them take the stage, any stage, somewhere in Telluride this summer.

The Pines would be another great fit for the festival.

Has John Butler Trio or Xavier Rudd ever came to Telluride?? I know JBT was at Folk Fest last year or whenever, and I know either of them would be great here! Great musicians and performers! Give the Aussies some love!

This thread is getting long, so I don't remember if anyone has brought up the alabama Shakes.  They could get everyone up and hopping on a cold Telluride summer evening!

Xavier played in 2004 (I missed that year)
John Butler Trio played in 2005 (I was there - very sweet set).

BC, continuing the Australian artist theme, do you know The Waifs? They played TBF in 2003 and I thought that set (along with their Fly Me to the Moon nightgrass show) was killer. I also saw The Waifs play at the 2010 Folks Fest.

Those girls are so awesome (and then some).  Dr. Love

Alabama Shakes would be great. They have played in Telluride but I'm pretty sure they have not been on a TBF stage. I'm sure someone will know.
