Hi friends,

I'm looking to take a large-ish group of folks to Telluride next year (8-16 people) and would appreciate recommendations on where in town I can look for a place to accommodate such a large group. Could be two places if necessary. Ideal would be a lodge-type setup with individual rooms and somewhere we could all congregate, or two houses close by. I'll be looking at the usual places like VRBO and the hotels, but thought some personal input would be great. Thanks so much for your help. You folks here on the forum are the best!

There are so many HUGE homes there you could probably find one house that would fit your entire group.

We have a large festi family too. Telluride Alpine Lodging is where to start! They are the most helpful awesome people. We called with our budget and they helped us accommodate our family of 9+ for 3 years now!  They even have condos with 5-6 bedrooms, if you can afford the luxury. We rent a 2 bedroom. Give the older people in the group the beds and everyone under 40 grabs floor space with a mattress pad set up or couch. Sure, its a little tight but you're not there to be in the condo Cheers
We've done others but I feel Telluride Alpine Lodging makes it easy and hassle free, I know everything will be ready and set when we get there for our 8 day vacation Flower
I wouldn't wait though, get started now! You won't have much luck finding a condo in Telluride (you'll have to stay in mountain village) after the end of the year, probably sooner.  If you have any questions feel free to pm me Thumbs Up

My name's Rob (a 15-yr Telluride local), and I rent my big place with deck etc. to large parties like yours. Please check out http://westslope.craigslist.org/vac/4120418292.html
