Favorite thing you ate @TBF

For us hands down, had to be the Sea Salt Caramel ce cream from Boulder Ice Cream.

After 2 straight days, considered myself fortunate on a water run to discover they were down to about 7 servings, so scored and made my wife extremely happy.

Even more thrilled after 86'ing it on Saturday to stand in line for runner-up Island Coconut, only to discover that they had been forced to refreeze about a half a tub, the day before, my wife couldn't believe it when I strolled back Sunday afternoon with another bowl full.

So thankful for all the great food, but kudos to Boulder for bringing this gem along; so glad we managed to have it all four days.

..for this year .. best meal was the 30 Day Dry Aged Bison Ribeye at the Sheridan Chop House.  Simply amazing.  Also have to give a shout-out for the Crepes and "Guys Fries" at Festival proper.

ANYTHING from Baked In Tellurde, especially the giant apple fritters.  Their 530 opening time kept me upright.

Yeah, the fritters are good ... ESPECIALLY in the morning!   They also make a good Pastrami Reuben, which I had one night of the festival.

Otherwise, only ate a corn dog and veggie curry on the inside ... both were "meh" at best.  The stir fry vendor wasn't setup this year, hopefully next.

This thread is pissing me off.  All I had for breakfast was a banana and four strips of Bacon.  Not enough Bacon.

Um the Dumplings and the Pizza at the festival grounds were incredible, life altering.  Multiple food boners. 

And a close runner up was the Steak Sandwich. 

Pretty pissed they ran out of Dark and Stormy's on the last day.

Sigh, I knew I should have been more specific and meant inside the Fest proper, but the aged Bison sounds good nonetheless.

FOM I was fortuante enough to get a Corn Dog fresh from the fryer and it was tasty.

Other than Ice Cream, I had Wantons and Dumplings twice and Pulled Pork sandwich twice. Both were good enough to go back, obviously.

Limeade- sold by two young girls at ticket area, club soda, fresh lime juice, crushed ice.(I added some tequila, delish)
Spicy Noodle Salad and Dumplings in Venue. Add some of their Chili sauce. Food Porn.
Honga's on Main Street- Korean Barbecue lettuce wraps and a Bourbon Mojito. Ahhhhhh!
Gyro and Greek Salad in Venue. Great Titziki sauce and fresh salad.
Sour Cream Doughnut Bar @ Baked in Telluride- Insanely good.
Blue Cheese and Green Chile Burger w/ tater tots @ Cornerhouse Grille. Awesome.
Sea Salt Caramel Ice Cream in Venue.
Old Fashioned Jalapeno Corn Dog- As good as any I've had at any small town fair.
Rolle Bolle at Beer Tent. Very good.
Bloody Mary Bowl of Life @ Town Park campsite- mixed in big bowl, very spicy with large pickles, jalapenos and passed around to share.  Good times!

Although I had to bail at the last minute on TBF this year, Boulder Ice Cream and New Belgium has been about 90% of my "diet" over the years at both TBF and RG, with an occasional baked good and coffee thrown in for nutritional balance.  In the festivarian spirit, I try to avoid eating anything that my be considered healthy. While some my scoff, this is no doubt at the heart of the popularity of bacon at the fests.  And Boulder Ice Cream, wooh: its smooth--its cold--its delicious Jerry!

Boulder needs to make bacon-flavored ice cream just for Telluride.  I'd try it!

Yes---the girls selling Limeade at the entrance was a great Wednesday treat given the heat.
ChocolateShrooms on the gondola was a bit much for me
Coconut Ice Cream gets 5 gold stars from me.
Food vendors were terrific: CornDogs, Dumplings,Killer flank steak, grilled Cheese-n-Bacon, Gyro, etc were all good.

Mountain Village:  Asian Fried Chicken w/ Oskar Blues Ten Fidy  at Palmyra bar at Peaks Resort.

Town:  Opah roll at Cosmopolitan's Happy Hour.

Field: Tie- Creamy cool goodness of Gyros with extra napkins and sodium yum-yum of Chicken-basil dumplings with peanut sauce.

Camp: Cedar plank grilled salmon, sautéed kale and Bananas Foster.

I just wanted to say that you guys are right. This Salted Carmel Ice Cream IS good.
