Dolly and Kenny are in Albuquerque soon...I must admit I thought about it, though not for TBF.  Its a totally different kind of leftover cheese.  LOL

Flecktones and NGR reunion are great ideas but.. Johnny is Doobing in California and Vic is doing a camp in TN so those two are unlikely.  Willie is booked in Toronto, Neil is in Europe.  High season for touring.

Hornsby has no dates listed for that time.

One strong candidate that has a possible gap in his schedule is Dawg and he's waay overdue.  Think of the sit-in possibilities with that one.

Darn I was going to say John Cowan but I guess he is busy. Sorry the bassist is ill; I hope he recovers fully. They are good but certainly not my favorite of the festival. I would love to see Willie come back, or Hornsby, or Shawn Colvin and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
Or they could put the Stringdusters in a headline spot and those boys will NOT disappoint!  I would love to see the in a night slot, as long as it isn't the same night as the nightgrass I have a ticket for.
Who will do the M&S nightgrass spot? Planet annnounced today that they have cancelled the rest of their tour, so that makes me believe that none of the band will be there.
Neil Young would be awesome, or bring back Bare Naked Ladies. I really enjoyed them, and Counting Crows were really good.
Now Grisman would be fantastic too!
I'm sure that whoever they get to fill that slot will be great.  I'm sure Ferg is disappointed as he told me months ago that he knew exactly who was going to be playing at the solstice, but wouldn't tell. I wonder who HE would like to see instead? Craig?

I feel someone big is going to be announced or else they would have announced it already. Little Feat would be an awesome addition.

I'm with everyone else. OCMS and The Devil Makes Three would be a dreamy addition!!!! I would also LOVE a Nickel Creek reunion...they're all here anyway. I am sure Sara's brother Sean will around as well to make the trifecta.

And please no Tom Petty. Planet Bluegrass, don't do me like that. This is a bluegrass festival and I won't back down. No, but serisouly.

Haha. Nice Petty puns. I think DMT would be a great addition. OCMS would work too.

chris thile, stuart duncan and edgar meyer are already in town, so how about flying yo-yo in for a goat rodeo session? they are touring, gonna catch them at the berkeley greek in august.

maybe now is the chance for leftover and/or cheese to get a late night at the sheridan as well.

Brilliant idea

What about the Little Willies? love me some Norah Jones and their music would fit nicely at Telluride I would think.

I am seeing alot of people thinking that they will just move an already sceduled act into Mumford's spot, like String Cheese or Duster's.

Although, I am wondering if they would do something like this.  There are people who bought day passes and I am guessing they bought those passes based on who is playing that day.  To move a band they wanted/payed to see would seem to be unfair to them.

Great point. Already enough ppl who will try to unload Thursdays bc of Mumford absence. I think it would be responsible only to shuffle acts within the already scheduled days for many reasons.

while it is certainly a factor to take into account, didn't single day tickets go on sale prior to the day-by-day lineup being announced this year (and last year too)?
