Ferg said "No Cheese or LoS for Nightgrass."

doesn't rule out special guests joining Nightgrass shows ...

there's plenty of incredible music every day ... even if Cheese and Salmon each play one set, we won't be "wanderin' thirsty in the rain" ... the lands will flow with milk and honey :)

Wait so let me get this straight...String Cheese Incident is listed 3rd on the Friday schedule and reported to be "playing a special bluegrass sunset set." So that means that Dispatch gets the headlining slot instead of SCI? I thought the 3 remaining acts to be announced were all headlining acts???  Frown

Ferg said "No Cheese or LoS for Nightgrass." So SCI gets 1 festival set during the day and that's it?  Rolleyes Frown huh

I actually think that's perfect! SCI playing an old school cheese show at sunset sounds like the perfect way to have them play the 40th to me. Plus, the headliner doesn't always close out the night. Sam Bush is Saturday's headliner, but he never closes.

Some peeps be a-bitchin' and a-moanin'.  I'm pretty excited about the lineup with ONE exception:

I've always been able to figure out one artist a day that I'll miss 1/2 of to go eat dinner and change into my winter clothes.  This year, I look at the day-by-day schedule and, with just one day's exception (that I will keep to myself), don't really see a dinner-break in the lineup.

I may have to change into my winter clothing at 2pm every day!  Thank god my ski jacket has pit-zippers.

Plus......doesn't Vince have his own Post-Nightgrass-Nightgrass festival as he meanders anahuacing (sp) unsuspecting campers?  He don't need no stinkin nightgrass!

Freaking awesome!  Very smart of the Planet to put Mumford on Thursday to keep the fanboys to a minimum.

Hey, Hooch, what's your plan for managing all of the Run-A-Muck fanboys (and girls)?   LOL

Yeah Hooch, what's your plan for managing the unmanageable @ XXXX.  The CF Sticker (and CF) worked really well last year! (at least for this RaM Fanboy...)  Cheers

I will preface this post by notifying all that I am a huge Dispatch fan and have been since I was in 10th grade and found a much needed and different sound than the norm. My wife and I had our first Telluride AND bluegrass experience last year... And feel in love. Not only with telluride which is a givin but, the music. It opened my eyes to something that is perfect. Don't get me wrong, our love for the John butlers, Avett Bros, Old Crows, Yonders etc. existed but, we found something beyond that. BLUEGRASS. When I saw the lineup I was pumped. But I ask the old time festiviarians how you feel about it. I can't be any more excited for this June and the 5 new festiviarians that are coming to join us at Lawson hill can't be either. Can't wait to see all of you at the festival and say hello if you see me. I will be the one doing cartwheels when Trampeled by Turtles starts jammin'!

Is it June yet!

Wave Got bit by the Bluegrass bug hua. Medal Not hard to get sucked in that's for sure.
The mix of old and new is a trademark that has been solidified with time. The injection of something other then Bluegrass is a wonderful jolt and helps to keep our ears fresh and attentive.
I personally enjoy a mixed lineup with a heavy influence on traditional Bluegrass.

Something for eveyone Medal I am so glad you will be joining us again and again and again. Now go buy that sun hat and lawn chair!

Don't Panic

Yay Ferg!  Time to start the serious festi-planning everyone!  Someone please cue up the traditional panic threads about killer bears and high altitude oxygen deprivation deaths!

I've been wondering about how to acclimate to the altitude...I heard that having a gigantic tarp usually helps.

Ferg or anyone with the time and inclination, wouldn't it be amazing to have a download or stream of 2 songs from each artist at Bluegrass this year?  It would be a great way to have a base knowledge of every band performing as there are so many and varied.  I think having it approved or on the website would be even better than having it as some DL link.  Just a thought and hope.  Thanks!
