Well, since I kind of got this going for this year. I am willing to help out any way I can, where ever we decide to meet.
I think a keg system would be great. My neighbors at Rockygrass last year had 4 kegs. It was fantastic!
The batch I just brewed up was kind of simple compared to CompleteJohn's, that sounds really good by the way.
But like usual, mine is an experiment.
6lb light dry malt (Mutons)
1lb Crystal malt 80lvb
1lb light clover honey
3 1/2oz hops I have no idea what they are. They all grew together on one fence, and the guy that planted them 40 years ago is past on.
I think I picked 3 different kinds, but I'm not sure. All I know is they smell wonderful!
White Labs, Pilsner yeast.
Irish Moss
I steeped the crystal just until wort had a nice beep red color, about 30-35min
Added all the malt, honey, and 1oz hops, brought to a good boil
after 30 min I added 1 1/2oz hops for flavoring
in last 10min or so I thru in the other 1oz of hops, and Irish Moss
I am doing a two stage fermentation at about 45-50f
