     Next years T.B.F. beer has just been brewed.  Cheers Well, a 5 gallons anyway. I made an American Red lager with hops I hand picked from a neighbors fence. As with most home brewers, I love to talk beer with other brewers. So I am seeing if any other home brewers would like to have a little get together?  Wave  I usually stay out at Mary E. Illium, and plan on being there by Tuesday late afternoon.  Thumbs Up

I'm in!  I'm going to start brewing for the festival in February or so.  I'm going to be trying my hand at some lagers now that I have ample refrigeration space.  I'll be in Warner, but we should get together in town and trade some brews!

I thought it would be cool to have a homebrewers exchange tent somewhere, if something like that isn't done already, and would be within the rules.

  The Home brewers exchange tent sounds like a good idea. Thumbs Up It may be a challenge to find a good place to set it all up. If we don't break any town rules, this could be an ongoing thing.  Even if we cant get that put together, I would still love to trade some brew's. I may even bring some mead, I have some that will be 4yrs old by then. Cheers Just for trading purposes, I pretty well stick with 22oz bottles. This could be allot of fun piled on top of one of the best weekends of my year. LOL Let's get something put together. :)

We have had a homebrew tasting event in Town Park for quite a few years, but it didn't happen last year due to many brewers missing out in the lottery.
In addition, it's a burden on the hosting camp to put it together.
We'll have to see if one of the camps is willing to host a return of the event before the festival starts.
Otherwise it would be up to local town laws/rules and agreement between them and Planet Bluegrass on where/how it could be implemented.
The other option would be one of the local pubs putting together such an event with the help of festivarians.
Local comments? Cheers

Interesting.  Was it a hassle with IDs and what not or is it just casual and not an issue as long as everything is under control?

ID's??? We don't need no stinkin' ID's. LOL

No, seriously, it was pretty casual and low key with no law enforcement in sight. Cheers

  I would volunteer to host at my camp sight. Cheers  Only hitch, is I camp out at Mary E.  But if we could get one of the brew pubs to help host, I'm willing to help as much as possible. :) I'm the dude with the solar power set-up, so I am usually easy to find. Just look for a bunch of phones being charged. Thumbs Up

It was one of my favorite events and I missed it this year. As one of the world's youngest beer snobs, I definitely think we should get it going again.

Spell things out. Except for the BYOB, you lost me on this one.  Evil

BM = (I can think of a few thing you didn't intend on this one.)

OB = (other brew/other bottles???)

By the way, I've had the chai today. Still not catching on here.  Coffee

I'm up for it!  If I end up in Warner field I guess I can't be there before Wednesday night.  Is that a good time?  I will bring plenty of my own to drink and plenty to share as well.  I'll try to bring an array of different flavors.  What about the glass bottle issue?  Can I bring.....KEGS??  I've been kegging for a while so a few 5 gallon kegs and a small CO2 tank is very doable.  One small CO2 tank will dispense many kegs if they are already carbonated, so if anyone else brings kegs I can have the CO2 covered.

Scott has a good point yet I don't think we should mix the BM's and the beer tasting.. First off, I don't know if those would mix well for some..Plus, I think  the crowd may get way too crazy...  Just set up the beer tasting in the same place at the usual time.. Is it 12 on Tuesday... Everyone who wants to participate do their share- drag over tables , ez ups etc,, People bring brew or snacks and their OWN cups and we just go for it...

What's a BM?

If Warner field doesn't open till Wednesday, can I still get into Town Park on Tuesday?

BM = Bloody Marys

Pretty sure Scott was referencing location and not time.
