Just remember, it's not really cool to buy a camping pass just to hang out with friends if you have a condo- especially as tight as tickets are this year......

Hello all old timers,

We are so excited to be a part of this wonderful scene.  I have a few questions If you have a vehicle pass, do the campsites have hook ups for electricty?  Do the established campsites use generators?   What happens at noon on Monday?   Does everyone have to be packed an gone?  When does the schedule for the prior week events come out and where would we find it?  Thanks for the info. 
Looking forward to some serious grass!!!

Hey, mpasrons!
The campsites do NOT have hookups for electricity. Your vehicle is simply a place to sleep in. Noon on Monday is the deadline to be packed and out of the campground. The pre-fest schedule will come out closer to the festival; I'm not really sure when. Telluride Tom will post it on this forum, however.

And.... no, the use of generators is frowned upon unless they're used during daylight hours to charge your batteries.

Does anybody have any suggestions for solar power?  Any commercially-available set-ups for people like me who don't know a lot about the "inner workings" of solar?  This is going to sound really lame, but if I'm able to get down to Telly and enjoy the pre-fest-festivities, I'll need to make some time to work on the laptop.  It would be great if I could find a way to charge those batteries "greenly" and without stumbling around Town Park and downtown begging for an outlet.  :)

I use a "big battery" for the campsite. So far I haven't had to recharge it during the 9 days of festivaaaaal!. Works great for charging small electronics, minor lighting, and my cpap machine. I bought an 85ah marine battery and a charger. Really is the deal for me, as our site is quite shady, the investment is low and maintenance is easy. (it's heavy tho, cart/wagon is helpful)

There are threads on the forum pertaining to the solar stuff, and I've seen people with some nice rigs @ TBF, but the "BB" is simple and effective.  Cheers

Linds, if you need to, you can always got to the Library and work from there. I know several people who did that for a bit last summer.

And there's power in the Town Park bathrooms (if you're camping there) and there's a WiFi signal from the campground office (although a bit weak). Thumbs Up
