1. IS THAT ALL THE STUFF YOUR BRINGING!?! What about your party decorations???

2. Introduce yourself when you arrive. Go from there.

3. Nate, You should have tarpage... tarps & tarps & tarps. We still have to wait for the Mayor to put out his annual list, if he even does it this year, to know what will be needed for special events. Hang in there!

Thanks for the reply Hope. Got it on the tarps.

I guess I am just excited. I guess waiting truly is the hardest part.

I have camped in Town Park for the Blues and Brews fest a few years ago (When BB King headlined - RIP!) and in terms of parking for folks who do not have a vehicle pass for TP the designated parking was way down at the other end of town.  Is there anything a little closer to Town Park?  huh

Thanks for offering your expertise!!  Cheers

It depends on when you get there. Last year, I was parked up the road from Town Park, but I got there the Sunday before. You will most likely be parked in Car Henge or in Mountain Village depending on parking availability upon your arrival.

Some people left to go sightseeing and we were given their spot.

Carhenge is awesome! It's my first quiet hike of the week (or bike ride) along the river back to camp...love it.  Dr. Love

How far out of town is it? and when does it typically fill up by? It's not out of town. It's on the right over by the river, as you hit town. Not far from the high school.  No clue when it fills up. before Wed I'd guess?

Carhenge is easy access off of the round-about you'll see as you enter Telluride,  Driving the opposite side of the circle from the school, the High School, then an easy left turn before the only bridge on that road. There are usually sign's pointing the way, welcome and Planet Bluegrass helpers  Lil hombre have very fine pointing skillsRockin

You know it's FREE, right?  :)

Hello all!
Wife and I enjoyed ROckyGrass a few years back, and are first time participants for TBF  Thumbs Up
We were late to the draw, and will be camping at the High School, unless we find a way to do it differently.
I have seen any mention of this campground here - any info available? I know it is meant to be "quiet" and is ETOH-free, which is fine.
Any other pertinent info? Same suggestions apply regarding tarps/space/friendliness?

We are so excited. Is there a bike valet or some etiquette regarding bikes?

Thanks.
Aric

Bring a lock for the bike, just in case you can't park it by your tent.

Tent stakes no longer than 6 inches so you don't hit a sprinkler pipe.

The area is a little more exposure to the weather so tarps and ez-UPS are you friends.

Water bottles are a must for your walk from the high school (west) to the festi-field (east). It's a short beautiful walk,  but at 8,750 feet up you need that fluid.

Prepare to have the best week EVER!!!

You don't need a vehicle pass for town park, most park on the road, carhenge or Mountain Village FREE... Vehicle passes are for sleeping in not parking your car,, different than Blue and Brews, I think.
