Yes, there is a tarp run every morning of the festival.

Start stretching!

Okay...what I mean to ask about the festival chair. I don't need it to stay in place. Just don't want to take it back to camp. Are the shade people in the back pulling their shade structures everynight...and putting them back up each morning?

I was hoping I could just dump it somewhere without having to reassemble/disassemble
. It is a royal pain. (I think the drill holes are slightly askew which makes the assemblage difficult) But, it is a comfy little rocker once it is done! Otherwise I will buy something else.

The festival grounds are completely cleared every night. There is no storage area inside the grounds.

I'm sure your foot slave will be more than happy to carry, set up, take down, and carry back to your camp each day.

Did NASA build this chair? EEK!

I think it makes sense for you to purchase a more convenient chair.  Thumbs Up Cheers

You may already know this but just in case...

If you're going to sit in what I call the first cut of land- in front of the main path that splits the field, you will need to have a low back chair (a basketball cannot fit in between the seat and ground).

we've got a small propane fire ring ... are they allowed in Town Park ?  vaguely remember seeing one there once ...

really convenient for having a small fire, and shutting it down when you're ready to crash ...

basically a propane grill without the grill ... we'll leave it home if it's frowned upon in Town Park ... thanks !

I can't say for certain, but I've definitely seen them in TP. I think you'll be okay.

Okay...I am gathering information as I go. It seems there are theme nights at camp before the festival starts. I am not sure if many of these are still applicable.

What if any are still being utilized?

Tropical Tuesday for example. I just want to have proper attire and accoutrement
for the festivities in KAMP.

I wouldn't necessarily call them theme nights, but some of the bigger camps do schedule events the week before music starts. Check out http://www.festivarian.com/index.php/topic,21176.0.html

There's also the New Year's Eve party at Camp Cascadia on Sunday night.  And the Goddess Walk-about on Sunday afternoon.

Hello again!
I start my drive from Olympia in a few days - I can't wait! : )
 A few more questions:
- Does TP charge for the extra nights for those arriving on Saturday?
- When do we get our wristbands for the festival? On Thursday when we enter the grounds, or is there a place to obtain them earlier?
- This is a stupid question, but are there many mosquitos ? Should I bring bug spray?  huh

You will not have to pay for camping starting Saturday; it's included in your Town Park pass.

The box office tent will open on Saturday 6/14 and you can swap your ticket for a wristband then.  Some years the campground hosts (Tim and Laura, who are fantastic hosts) have wristbands and you can find them at the vehicle entrance to the campground.

No bugs; it's too cold at night.  You might see a random mosquito here or there but it's so chilly that they are lethargic.  We've never needed bug spray.

No, your Town Park ticket includes Saturday morning on until the festival is over the next Monday at noon.

Get your wristband as soon as possible.  Sometimes they have folks walking through the campground as early as Saturday afternoon to do exchanges.  Otherwise hit the Will Call booth...not sure the first day it's open.

There are a few mosquitoes some years.  Never too much of a problem.  And it's cold enough at night that they go away.
