I am a TBF virgin, and have waited too long to get my campsite tickets.

I am unable to get to the festival until Wednesday evening or Thursday morning, due to work not letting me off as early as I'd like. How fast do the Mary E Ilium and Lawson Hill campsites fill up? I really will not require a whole lot of space to set up my tent, and I don't need to have my car right beside me (I was going to leave it in the provided free lot).

What I'm wondering is am I going to be at risk of showing up and being unable to find space to set my things up Thursday morning or Wednesday afternoon or night?

Having never been to either of these campgrounds I'm really clueless as to how they fill up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated  :)

Thanks!

Quinn,  campsites will be pretty tight by Wed. Night / Thurs. morn.  It will probably be a little overwhelming at first glance but don't fret. There's room for everyone. Talk to folks , smile a lot and a spot will present itself.  You will not be able to camp next to your vehicle w/o a vehicle pass. You will be allowed to drive in as close as possible to unload etc... The camp hosts are very helpful in getting you settled in!!! Good luck

I am not worried about dropping my things off with my truck even. I'm going it alone, because the rest of my crew got into Town Park! Should be a great new experience. Talking to people in order to find a spot is a good suggestion, always with a smile  :)

I would love to get there like Monday or Tuesday, but that just probably isn't going to be possible. I'm going to see what I can do, however.

Anyone else ever been in this situation in either campground (getting there late).

There will still be plenty of room. It may be hard to find, but it's there. Like Hooterroll said, ask around. Someone will have a space for you.  Cheers

Best possible way to expand your social network at Fest is to camp where your other friends are not camping! You'll be fine.  Thumbs Up Space is always available for another Festivarian.

Just so others in your campground have an idea, what size tent do you have?

I'm expecting to roll into Mary Ilium mid-day Wednesday Quinn, and if you'd like to exchange info maybe I can scout out a spot for both of us.  I've got a 2-person dome tent.
