I know this may belong in the 4 corners section, but the fest is in Colorado.

Hillary and I have never been, have wanted to forever. We think we may make this one. Gotta get me some Wilders!!!

This is one that absolutely doesn't work for me as I long as I work for the public schools back home. I work Friday and am off Monday  It would take me until Saturday night to get there.   the lineup in the past has been so good that I always THINK about going and then realize that it is impossible.

have a great time!

Hey Paul it's Dave in Denver ( from you building class at Rockygrass a couple years ago) . We make Pagosa every year and love it, we've been to like 9 out of 11. This year has a better line up than usual, but the camping and night time picking is worth the price of admition alone, not to mention the hot spring 1/4 mile away.

Awesome. Any help on when to arrive and where to camp would be greatly appreciated. I don't know much about this festival of pagosa at all. Are there historical groups like Town Park or is it  more like on big one.

Unfortunately, I have other plans for that weekend -- still deciding on YMSB @ Red Rocks or the Allmans/Leftover/Gov't Mule/Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi at JazzAspen.

However, I attended in 2003, and it was plenty of fun.  Hopefully, the Four Corners folks will use mulch instead of hay to alleviate the mud (circa 2003).

We were just looking at that the "Jazz" Aspen line up. Where's the Jazz??? LOL
There has been less and less every year. Great line up, why they just give up and drop the Jazz part, I don't get.

Great! I'm excited to festivate with no obligations. I missed this post somehow until just now. That screwy RSS thing again

Paul,
I LOVE the 4 Corners Fest, and I'll be there this year for maybe the 11th time.  I think I recall that the campground opens on Thursday morning at 8am.  There are some "traditional" camps but nothing like the scene in Town Park.  We try to grab our same spot each year, but we don't worry as long as we're close.  In fact, everyone in the campground is maybe no more than a 1 minute walk to the stage.  What a great festival.  Definitely I'd advise buying the week pass at the Hot Springs while you're there as the single-visit cost adds up quickly.  They jack the price over festival week, but there's a discount for a group (full price for the first pass and then a discount for each additional pass up to maybe 4 total).

Shoot me a note if you've got any other questions and I'll be looking forward to seeing you in Pagosa!

Holy crap, I just discovered this thread.  Do I need to go to this festival?  I've never been, but have no plans for Labor Day as of yet.  I think I'll just quit my job and go to music festivals every weekend for the rest of my life.   Flower Wink LOL
