Here's the third of our final 3 lineup additions for the 39th Telluride Bluegrass.  (In case you missed the first two, read more here and here.)

So we were left with one final slot: the Sunday morning gospel set.  A set all about power and emotion and spirit and family.  And perhaps most importantly... the voice.

There's one voice that has been conspicuously absent from Telluride for the past few years.  (Guessed it yet?)

There's one voice that uniquely soars above the peaks of Telluride, while anchored by his electric bass.

For 33 of our 38 years, he has been an integral part of Telluride Bluegrass - as a co-founder of New Grass Revival, as a leader of his own band, and as a member of numerous bands and legendary sit-ins.

But thanks to a full-time gig as a member of the Doobie Brothers, he has been absent from Telluride since 2009.

So a few weeks ago when he realized that the Doobies had the weekend off, we all agreed he absolutely needed to be in Telluride for the Solstice.

We're so so thrilled to welcome back to Telluride...

That's the most exciting final announcement I can imagine! I've so missed Johnny C the last few years. And for Sunday morning! That'll be a gospel set to remember. I love it when the lineup is complete. You know the fest is getting close!
