I had a frantic call from Mark over the weekend. He woke up Saturday morning to find DukTape Man and Blaze missing!!  EEK!

Apparently, they weren’t ready to leave the South for their annual trek to Albuquerque. So, they high-tailed it (pun intended) out of Birmingham while their Creator slept.

Photos over the AP wire spotted them. Where else? The Kentucky Derby…

Sadly, they didn’t win. They didn’t even place. Mid-field, Blaze turned around and ran the other way. I wonder if he was distracted by that young filly drinking a mint julep and making eyes at him...

Much like the hoopla surrounding the journey of the Olympic Torch, Festivarians of Albuquerque are all a-quiver with anticipation over the pending arrival of the esteemed representatives of Camp Duk Tape.

Anti-Duk Tape demonstrations, however, are not expected.

Updates (and pics) will soon be forthcoming.

Duk Tape Man and Blaze have a heavy Festival schedule this spring, folks, and will need your help and support to successfully complete their long, party-filled journey to Telluride.
