ASHLAND, Ky. - A man accused of being the "Duct Tape Bandit" has gotten into a sticky situation. The man, who had his head wrapped in duct tape to conceal his identity, walked into a liquor store on Friday, Ashland police said.
 
Shamrock Liquors store manager Bill Steele had some duct tape of his own, but his was wrapped around a wooden club that sent the robber fleeing, according to a report by WSAZ-TV in Huntington, W.Va.

Store employee Craig Miller said he chased the man to the parking lot, tackled him and held him in a choke hold until police arrived. A customer also helped, police said.

Kasey G. Kazee, 24, of Ashland, was charged with first-degree robbery, according to Ashland Police Sgt. Mark McDowell.

Kazee, in an interview with the TV station, denied he was the bandit who robbed the store of two rolls of change. He pleaded not guilty Monday and bond was set at $250,000.

DTM, Blaze, Gil, & I were nowhere near Ashland Kentucky.  Gil is high up on a mountain (which is a little strange considering he's a shark) and DTM & Blaze are in ABQ, or they may have headed to L.A. since Blaze read that there was an impending Van Halen reunion and we are all way to familiar with their penchance for re-union tour.

By the way, the poor Bandit dude would have probably used the standard stocking over the face but for BillyBeru's Birthday bash, which has evidently caused a nationwide shortage

Whoa, I should check in more often.  Seems my reputation is on the line here. 

So, for the record, I've been nowhere near Kentucky all summer!  (You'll also notice that the Duk Tape bandit was NOT wearing an electric blue velour suit!)  Neither have Duk Tape Man or Blaze, both of whom are getting some western R&R prior to Four Corners Festival.  Actually, Blaze says he might not go, since the sulfur from the local hot springs tickles his nose.  DTM, however, already has his ticket, with camping, and he's begging for a cooler to call his own for the weekend. 

DTM wants to know who else is going to 4 Corners?

I just talked to my friends down at Treasz (that's what we Washingtonians call the Treasury Dept) and they told me to drop off this image at the US mint when I drive home today.
