My 13 year old daughter wants to get into the academy lottery for fiddle. She can play, and her teacher (the guy who won the dobro contest this past year) is convinced she'll be totally bored in the kids academy.
Is it possible for her to be placed into the adult academy? She will still be 13 next Summer. She would be happy to audition. She probably knows 25 bluegrass songs, chords and melody; she can chop, too.
Do they allow that sort of thing? How would I make it happen?
Thanks.
Once at Academy and she finds that the class she is enrolled in is not challenging enough, she has the ability to move, never fear.
No tryouts, however the Band Scramble, which she must sign up for each day is a good way for her to shine and show others what she can do in a band setting. Very fun. Now I'm getting excited.
Lucky girl!!!!
