I'm thinking getting Willie Nelson back would be awesome. I saw him in August and he was fantastic.

The red-headed stranger!  I'll see Willie anytime I can.  If Willie and Trampled by Turtles come I'll be there for sure.

I am sorry if I offended anyone with my comments. Flower

I was merely expressing an opinion. Not trying to trash the festy. Telluirde is my favorite festival and it is always marked on my calendar every year. I don't want to give the impression that I an angry about anything or ungrateful to the festival promoters. The progressive nature of this festival is one of the things that I love the most and I would love for that tradition to continue.

If I offended anyone, just hit me upside my helmet next year on saturday and we'll share a beer and a laugh Cheers

DONE!  Thumbs Up Cheers   I don't really don't think your opinion bothers me, it's the name calling, slurs, etc. that throws the wrench into my festy spirit.  Tell us what you wish for without trashing something I love, and we're good.  BTW, it's ALL good in T'ride, IMHO.   Dr. Love

Was talking with the guys from Greensky after a show last week and they more-or-less confirmed they'll be Telluride next year.

Oh, I would like to see a broader selection of beer. I honor New Belgium for all of their support over the years but Oskar Blues, or Ska would be nice. Jeeze even Deschutes could muster up a couple of good kegs.

Being a folk singer myself, i really like The Civil Wars.  Easy on the ears AND the eyes.  Oh, and the Avett Brothers would float my boat.  I'm in love with Trampled by Turtles, but I don't see them doing a twofer.

Love all the above suggestions, but I'll be there no matter who is in the lineup.   Flower

Wouldn't be surprised to see Neil next year (in some capacity) after how the The Buffalo Springfield denial went down this summer in Telluride!

While I'd be psyched to see Neil as a headliner, I'm still going with SCI as my first possible unrealistic choice (next would be Furthur).   I guess I've grown too particular in so far as what REALLY hits the spot for me for a full on couple few hours (and day after day), and would like the more dynamic electric firepower thrown into the TBF somewhere in the mix.  RRE latenight was really the only act which delivered on this particular front for me this past summer even though I liked most of the music I heard.

I find it somewhat interesting that on the acoustic side, we'll see some extremely progressive & explorative ensembles which are essentially "bluegrass/acoustic jam bands" ... yet on the electric side, more often than not, the bands simply play discrete songs without an emphasis on "jamming" in the same way.

Of course this is all out of self interest & wouldn't want to see the TBF lose it's identity (as ecclectic as it may be), but I think a lot of those who appreciate the adventurous side of acoustic would might also be well into the full on electric side of things.  I suppose the lineups ebb and flow over the years, but I personally think it would be nice to see things move a bit in that direction again.

Jackie Greene played Pagosa, and so did Keb Mo, and I would love to see both of them again. Tride would love them!

Jackie Greene played in 2007, but I must have missed him because I don't EVEN remember his set. Anyone wanna send me a copy of it?   Wink

Here's Jackie's set from 2007 Cindy Lou:

Love to see him back at the TBF!  He definitely takes risks jamming and is a creating force, but would would like to see him shuffle the deck a bit more on mixing up setlists from show to show.   I know he can do it, witnessed first hand with Phil.

Unfortunately, he's has some sad news in his life very recently with his dad passing away:

Dear friends -
I regret to inform you that I will be rescheduling our dates in the Southeast.  This includes the Atlanta, Chattanooga, Birmingham and Nashville dates.
My father  passed away of bone cancer recently and my family will likely be holding services during that time.
He was a strong man and I will miss him dearly.   I’m thankful and comforted to know that I was able to give him his last wishes.  He spent his last months in my house, close to his children and loved ones.  In his final moments, we were all able to be there and we surrounded him with love and music.   He passed peacefully on Friday, October 21st.
Going through some old photo albums, my mother came across this photograph.  This is my father singing to me as an infant.  I find it a beautiful and poignant statement right now.   (not to mention my kick-ass headband.)
The Chico shows this weekend will go on as planned.  Hope to see y’all there.
Thanks for understanding.
Sincerely,
Jackie
