No question, standing at the top of the Gondola over looking Telluride on one side and Mountain Village on the other side. Asking Annette to Be my Wife...........and she said yes. It will be along time before something comes along and replaces that memory! Pirate Pirate Medal Medal

I met my wife at the 2000 Bluegrass fest. In the hula-hoop ring to be exact. That's the truth. Grisman Quintet was on stage. Quite the soundtrack to my goofy hooping.
Our anniversary falls on the Thurs of Bluegrass. Haven't missed one since.

He put the P in performance. Impactful, skilled and removed from the crowd. Inpervious and delivered with such ease, so natural, focused and different. Andrew Bird.

I want to learn how to do that. He is a master Medal His sound was captivating. Thank you PBG! Outstanding! A first for me.

A visit from a friend I don't know yet came knockin on my tarp door. A quiet sit and listen and a shared smile...someone came to sit with me this Fest, smiled like he knew me for the longest time never looking eye to eye, never a word of introduction. Just a shared smile. I think it is someone from this forum and it was a sweet joyful moment. Flower

Thanks for posting Toolshed. Wonderful glimpse into a TBF journey. As someone mentioned in another thread "WE are the festival". Tride is a great place and TBF has great music but it is the festivarians that make it the special experience. Thanks everybody for the memories!!

Next year will be my...um...23rd out of 25 years.  Missed two to spread family ashes in the big blue Pacific.  I have so many 'best' memories that I can't remember a lot of them.  Which is a good thing.  But certainly one of my best was that Saturday afternoon that Hooch walked over to Tarp Nine and introduced himself.  The start of beautiful friendships rekindled year after year with Utarpia...and stoked in between with the random notes, messages, emails, and occasional visits.  So, the amazing music aside, the friendships are my favorite part.  Year after year after year after year....

Oh, and then there was that late night at the Sheridan with Wolfstone back in '94....

(Can't wait to see you again, Pal!)

While maybe not one of my best memories, the Great Ball Tagging War of 2013 was something I won't soon forget. I may have lost all but one battle, but that one battle won me the war!
