Thanks for input!!  I'm thinking we'll just skip it.  I figure it's the last night of the festival, and everyone will probably be rowdier than usual.

:medalGood choice mom, next year buy yer babysitter a ticket to fest and treat her to some fun, then late nights are easy for you or trade nightgrass nights with another couple with kids. They go on sat. nightgrass and you babysit then next night it's your turn.. something like that.. Cheers
Earplugs are free for kids at the med. tent. Please use them.

 Giggly Sprout is coming back.
Oh, unless something really radical has happened I would assume that Giggly Sprout will be there....

Definitely not Town Park camping.... My experience there was not the best....lots of weird, creepy guys hitting on the wife, drunks, etc.... The friendliness of the crowd is overrated in my humble opinion...Well maybe on 2nd thought friendliness is not the word..... They didnt seem to have any respect for boundaries that most civilized humans recognize innately...

IMHO I too agree May not be the best place for youngin,s  although we have watch the Green's Kids grow up there
and now they are coming as young Adults , would I bring my 3 year old grand son .....Hell NO !!!!!!!!!
Guys Town Park is an Adult Playground ...unless your a open minded parent , your kids will see hear and smell things that maybe in my humble opinion, you wouldnt want em to be part of,  unless your willing to open up a a talk about what us Dummy Adults do . Still my Faith is in the Town Park Campers , we try and police ourselves , but yes Drunks are all over the place ....LOL

Awesome!  My son will be 18 mos also!  Very excited to know there will be others his age.

I wanted to ask you guys - Which musical acts are your kids excited to see??
My kids are probably most excited for Chris Thile (well, Punch Bros) and Jenny Lewis (I've been playing her new albums nonstop.)

MY kids (7,5, & 2) are so excited for the trip, and high on our list are Jenny Lewis ("See Fernando") & most definitely Conor Oberst. (However listening to Conor has caused my 5 year old to ask me questions like: What's a lynching mob and What's gangrene, so be forewarned.) We're first timers staying at the high school. -Heather

haha.  Whenever Steve Miller's The Joker comes on the radio, my 5 yr old daughter always asks "What's a toker?"  Gotta love kids.

I tried the latest Conor Oberst album and just couldn't get into it.  But maybe the performance will be better.

We're staying at the high school too!  We should meet up!  :) We'll all rock out to See Fernando together.  That one and my son (17 mos old) loves The Next Messiah.  All the Ooohs and Aaaahs.

Yes, it would be fun to meet up. Where are you coming from?

About Conor Oberst: HIs self titled album is the one to listen to. If you are listening to Outer South it's not quite as good but I do love Cabbage Town and White Shoes. He's amazing live.

We're coming from Southern California.  And driving!  That will definitely be something with the two little ones.  What about you?

Well, the s/t is the one I was talking about.  With each song, I kept hearing other people singing it. I mean, it sounded like he was doing a bad version of someone else's song.  One sounded like Elliott Smith, one like Tom Petty, and one like Jenny Lewis.  Felt really odd.  But I'll try giving it another shot.  Thumbs Up
