I checked this out yesterday and there were people walking around in late 19th early 20th century attire.  What was that all about?

It was "Heritage Days" ... demonstrations of mining techniques, logging, livestock, stagecoach rides, etc.

I wonder if in another 50 years the festival will evolve to where they'll have demonstrations of "realtors selling timeshares, ski companies cutting deals with the National Forest Service, etc."  EEK!
